Welcome to Themes

The European Social Fund works in many different ways, tackling a wide range of employment and skills issues. In this section of ESF-Works we will be focusing on a number of different themes over the coming months, highlighting significant lessons and making connections with policy and practice beyond the confines of European funding.

The themes will be updated throughout the ESF programme, where relevant information, news and projects will be progressively added to our featured themes, as there is much being carried out in the UK that relates to these specific issues.

Featured theme - Inclusion - offenders

The ESF-Works Inclusion - offenders theme focuses on projects that work with those who are hardest to help and engage in employment, education and training, especially offenders and ex-offenders.

If your project addresses issues of labour market inclusion, working with the hardest to help, and offenders and ex-offenders, then one of our regional coordinators would like to come and visit you. ESF-Works will publish an article that focuses on the methodologies you are using to train, educate and up-skill people towards employment.

For further information, please refer to the main Inclusion - offenders page.

Comments

ESF-Works is about sharing the details of best practice, showcasing effective intervention, stimulating debate, and giving voice to participants at all levels.

Do you have something to say about the issues covered on the web site? Are there lessons you would like to share with the wider community? Do you want your ESF project featured on this site?
