Action for Carers and Employment: An evaluation

This document is the final evaluation report, compiled by the Centre for Social Inclusion in 2005, of the ACE National EQUAL Project that sought to address the barriers faced by carers and former carers in entering, re-entering, or remaining in the labour market.

The Equal Knowledge for Innovation Partnership online equal opportunities training modules were trialled at Holt Hosiery Ltd, a small family business with a high proportion of older skilled workers. This research report discusses the results and outcomes.

The Cultural Shift South East Programme produced five social enterprise sector guides to encourage a culture of social entrepreneurship across the public, private and voluntary and community sectors. The progress together model

The progress together model was developed in South Yorkshire as a direct result of the work driven forward by the City Strategies in conjunction with Jobcentre Plus and the Learning & Skills Council (LSC). The aim of the model is to provide a seamless journey for the customer from initial engagement to sustainable employment.

The Right Deal For Homeless People

Developed from lessons learnt from The Tackling Multiple Disadvantage Equal Project, this is a personalised programme for people with multiple barriers to employment, combined with holistic wrap-around support from front-line delivery agencies. This is an important tool in influencing what future services need to do to support those furthest away from the labour market into suitable and sustainable employment.

Women-Only Sports Coaching Programme: Final Report

The Agender partnership in Birmingham piloted a unique route into sports coaching for unemployed adults (mostly women) by ensuring that the course hours cater for childcare needs, and that all support issues, such as transport, are built into the course structure right from the start. This document is the final report on the programme.
